GODDAMN GOTHS ON METH Announce New Album: "Vart"
GODDAMN GOTHS ON METH (GGOM) returns with a groundbreaking new release, "Vart", a 30-track genre-bending masterpiece that defies convention and shatters expectations. Dropping under the Varsavati Records label, "Vart" marks a bold exploration of the multiverse, blending humor, chaos, AI-driven creativity, and raw artistry into an unforgettable sonic experience.
"Vart" features collaborations with fictional bands and artists spanning genres from death metal to polka to country. The album offers a surreal tribute to the eclectic and unpredictable, with tracks like "A Little Light" (feat. Vince Virtue), "Crystal Satan" (feat. Blood Splatter Promise), and "Where’s Spook?" (feat. Miles Ahead of Rehab), a touching piece in loving memory of Roger Wayne Bryant.
Speaking on the album, GGOM founder Robert Bryant says: "Vart is the sound of chaos meeting curation. It’s as if Varsavati himself picked tracks from a multiverse of genres and smashed them together to see what would happen. It’s messy, experimental, and completely honest."
This ambitious 30-track project leans into themes of existential humor, glitch-like distortion, and surreal collaboration. With standout appearances from fictional acts like Dark Skanks on Crank, The Methaphoricals, and Honky Tonk Hellfire, "Vart" plays like a mixtape for the end of the world.
AI Inspiration:
- The album leans heavily on AI-driven creativity, with tracks generated or inspired by machine learning algorithms. GGOM experimented with AI tools to reinterpret their existing lyrics and concepts, leading to some of the wildest and most unexpected collaborations on the album. Each version of songs like "AJOKETOTELLTOU" and "High On Neon" represents a unique blend of human and artificial creativity, curated under Varsavati's watchful eye.
Release Date: 10/072024
Available on: All major streaming platforms and exclusive physical editions on Varsavati Records.
Group Spin-Off Announcement
"Vart" is not only a showcase of GODDAMN GOTHS ON METH’s chaotic brilliance but also the launchpad for three major acts under Varsavati Records:
- Indigo Harper
- Genre: Indie-pop with a dark edge, in the vein of Billie Eilish but even moodier and more atmospheric. Indigo Harper's sound captures haunting melodies, brooding themes, and ethereal production. Expect deep lyrical exploration of personal and existential themes.
- Honky Tonk Hellfire
- Genre: Core country music with an edge, inspired by Hank Williams III. This act spans genres, branching into horror punk, dark ambient, and train-country hybrids. Their music feels equally at home in a smoky honky-tonk bar or a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
- Dark Skanks on Crank
- Genre: A mix of goth rock, witch house, industrial, indie, and cabaret. Their music blends whimsy and darkness with a wonky, avant-garde edge, creating a uniquely chaotic yet structured sound.
Stay tuned as these acts release their own projects under the Varsavati Records banner, expanding the multiverse of "Vart."
